From the monthly archives: "December 2010"

From what I can see in this shot, there’s really nothing about this kitchen I dislike and many elements that I think are great: the floor, cabinetry, appliances, table and chairs are all right up my alley. I almost always like a hanging door on a track, so no problem there. I do wonder about stacking items so high you need a ladder to reach them, plus, the space is awfully stark. What do you think?

This space with it’s thoughtful architecture and design by Michael Haverland and Alan Tranksley feels so dynamic and energetic that I can’t help but be inspired.

I’ve always wanted — literally since I was a kid wanted — a trestle table like this. Not that I have the space for it right now, but that’s beside the point, really. And this one, all wisdom and beauty through years of use, combined with the groovilicious chairs and that stone floor, is just about perfect.
