I really like the large scale tile used in this kitchen. I’m considering something similar, but with significantly more color, if I ever upgrade mine.

(Sure wish this image was larger.) We all know I’m no fan of whitewhitewhite, but there’s a pretty amazing thing happening here: the monolithic, characterless white of the kitchen is completely counterbalanced by the fantastically rich texture of the dark wooden flooring. Add to that the interesting inverse that comes in by adding the slick dark chairs and the lighter-colored but heavily textured wooden table and I’m blown away.
I’ve been searching for visual inspiration for my still-being-brainstormed office transformation — specifically toward a more industrial vibe — and I like the feeling this image evokes for me.
