I’m struggling a bit with this Greenwich Village apartment: the big strokes — palette, texture, style — all work for me, but there’s something about the way each piece seems purchased just for this space that makes it feel show house-y (especially the living room).
Here’s a guy who takes terrific interior and architectural shots, who also does great portraits, but whose work becomes brilliant shooting people in their environments. The absolute stillness of these images fill me with a sense of calm mindfulness. Amazing.
