I love these colors; add to that the combination of materials and the great architecture and it’s a slam-dunk.
Architecture: lot-ek architecture.

A note from Dave: This week’s leftovers are fewer than I typically post because last week was much busier than normal for me, so I didn’t have as much time as I usually do to spend online looking at wonderful interior design images. My company launched a completely redesigned, redeveloped and rewritten website for ourselves on Friday (see below), plus since Friday I’ve been attending SXSW Interactive, the worlds largest emerging technology conference, further impinging on my time. I’m lucky that I work in this industry and get the opportunity to experience an event like SXSWi; the first session I attended was a panel on the future of lifestyle media, and I’m doing a lot of thinking about what kinds of directions I might want to take Japanese Trash. Anyway, this is a long way of saying I’ve been away from my computer a lot lately; with two more days of SXSWi, I’ll continue to be away for a bit (but still doing my regular daily posts) learning so I can ultimately bring you a better Japanese Trash.

This stunning, modern, glass-and-steel house takes my breath away.

So many great materials come together in this image. This gives the feeling of real permanence.
