I’ve always had a strong interest in this kind of juxtaposition: the clean, mid-century pieces in a space full of history. The BroHo feel from the rug and accessories just gives it that extra layer of texture that I love, too.
Picture Window
Gorgeous new-construction home in Los Angeles with fine MCM furnishings. It’s like some mid-’60s Better Homes & Gardens cover transported 45 years into the future.

Amazing in Austin
Built in the mid 1960s, renovated in the mid 2000s, this home deserves the swank video treatment seen here:

Relaxed Masculinity
Yesyesyes, I know I moan and groan about all the whitewhitewhite interiors out there, but there’s something about this space that elevates it from the standard Andromeda Strain cleanroom aesthetic. Maybe it’s the two fab mid-century chairs–very reminiscent of some my family had–or the simple folding chair in the background or maybe it’s the glass accents. Who knows; this one just resonates for me.
