I know what you’re thinking. You’re wondering if they put the wrong name on the author line of this post, aren’t you? How that little image of the person who wrote this could possibly be Dave Hime when the first room being shown is so… traditional. I understand your confusion—that’s not the kind of interior design I’m typically drawn to, but this first room is a great example of the kind of thing most people picture in their minds when they read the phrase “exposed rafters.” – See more at: The Interior Collective.

It’s Friday afternoon and even a short week can be cause for a TGIF post that’s long on photos and short on words. We’ll see if that’s an empty promise or not… Here are images of the Rose Hotel Venice to help get you through to the end of the day and week.

Newly refurbished as a labor of love by owner and fashion photographer Glen Luchford, this looks like the kind of place that would be the perfect hangout during my next trip to LA. It was this first image–and that fireplace in particular–that caught my attention and made me explore more about the property:

It turns out that fireplace is in the living area of one of the hotel’s suites; some of the suite’s other spaces are above. That deck area looks like a perfect place to wake up each morning.

Here are a couple of shots from another suite. And here’s me signing off until Monday and wishing you all a terrific weekend!
