Well, I know I’m a bit late to this party — but when I saw some images of this space I’d never seen before I had to post my take on The Waterhouse at South Bund. With many of my favorite materials–corten steel, concrete, wood, glass–and a gorgeous palette (just look at that hallway shot: the combinations of deep charcoal, golds, greys and white is stunning), there are plenty of ideas here to apply to a residential space.

Here’s a guy who takes terrific interior and architectural shots, who also does great portraits, but whose work becomes brilliant shooting people in their environments. The absolute stillness of these images fill me with a sense of calm mindfulness. Amazing.

I don’t usually (knowingly) go for celebrity homes, but this one — Hillary Swank’s NYC pad — is so simply elegant I couldn’t resist. I very much like every single one of these rooms.
