For some reason — maybe it’s the weeks of 100+ degree temperatures in Austin — I’m drawn to this rustic modern cabin today.
Via desire to inspire.
It’d be easy to argue that all the neutrals in this space create a sea of sameness, but take another look: the architectural elements of the room — literally, the floor, walls and ceiling — provide a tremendous amount of visual texture; adding a ton of design to that is going to create chaos. What is here is a smart use of space, clever color choices and a pleasing assortment of shapes to compliment the overall structure.
