This masculine home design is a terrific getaway on Long Island, beautifully renovated by the new owners some 40 years after it was originally built. Adding only a few square feet in the renovation, each space in this home has been lovingly renewed and brought into the present, while keeping the texture and character of the original structure.
Using good taste and the project’s original architect, the overall effect of the work is less about making a revolutionary statement and more about creating subtle refinement throughout the space.
As these images show, the use of simple, honest materials allow the integrity of the architecture to shine through. What a terrific place to take time out of every day life, to relax and enjoy.
